Pre Stamped Envelopes – Australia –Birds- Superb Blue Wren

Australia has issued nearly 478 Pre Stamped Envelopes from 1913 till Feb 2017. the numbering on envelopes was started on 11  Sep 1978 with the Bird definitives.

Superb Blue Wren is found in  south eastern Australia where they adapt well to human environs. The male Superb Blue wren takes on its color when breeding. Outside breeding season it becomes brown like female except that its eye patches are paler and its bill remains black. Wrens usually live in family groups which may include several adults.
