The 2012 EURO Cup was hosted by Poland & Ukraine from 08 Jun to 01 July 2012. It was the 14th edition of EURO Cup, the first being in 1960.

Thailand Post planned to issue 210 million Lucky-draw Postcards of Two Baht each asking Soccer fans to guess who will win the final of 2012 EURO Cup. It offered 40 million Baht in prize money in a joint campaign with a local mass-circulation local daily newspaper.

There were 16 different Postcard in the set. . Two postcards were blank to predict the 2014 Winners. Each of the 13 Postcards was unique as they featured the Winner Country’s name, Flag and Year of winning theEURO Cup.

1972- Hosted by Belgium. West Germany beat USSR 5-3 to win the 1972 EURO Championships. Belgium beat Hungary 2-1 to win third place.

1976 – Hosted by Yugoslavia. Czechoslovakia beat West Germany beat USSR 3-0 to win the 1976 EURO Championships. The Netherlands beat Yugoslavia 3-2 to win third place.

The 1996 Summer Olympics or XXVI Olympics were held in Atlanta The USA  from 19 Jul to 04 Aug 1992. These Olympics were also known as the Centennial Olympic Games. A total of 10,320 athletes from 197 Nations participated in 26 Sports, 37 Disciplines and 271 events. President Bill Clinton of The USA inaugurated the Games. The USA topped the medals tally with 44 Gold Medals.

Bangladesh issued a miniature sheet of four stamps on 19 Jul 1992 to commemorate the Olympics as Centenary Olympics.
