136 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) Ecological, Mahar was raised on 09 Dec 2017 in Maharashtra . It is a specialised Army Departmental Ecological Bn raised primarily to improve the green cover in arid Marathwada region, on request and funding by Govt of Maharashtra.
In one year of raising it has planted 66,000 saplings, covered an area of 184 Ha for plantation, Water Harvesting by drip irrigation, Unit Nursery to reduce costs of saplings and Maint of saplings.
APS issued a cover on 16 Feb 2019 to mark its First Raising Anniversary.

West Of Ireland Landscape Paintings on Stamps – Paul Henry.
Paul Henry ( 11 Apr 1876 – 24 Aug 1958) was an Irish Painter renowned for depicting West of Ireland Landscapes in his paintings. Ireland issued a strip of four stamps on 17 Apr 2008 to mark his 5oth Death Anniversary . The paintings feature A Connemara village with mountains in the background as part of West of Ireland Landscape.
