Sri Lanka issued a stamp on Janasaviya Development Programme on 23 Jun 1989. It was a 75 Cents (.75) denomination stamp. On 22 Mar 1990, the same stamp was overprinted as 1.00 and issued. Surprisingly same stamp with denomination 1.00 was also issued on 31 Jan 1990 dated 1990. The Fourth stamp with the same design with denomination 1.00 was issued on 24 Dec 1990 but was undated. No reasons known for such a variety on the same stamp.
Interestingly a Block of Four in my possession has the overprints shifted and listed. RED ARROWS show the error.
In 1966 Indonesia issued a set of Stamps on President Sukarno. One of the stamps was a One Rupiah stamps. A Block of four one Rupiah stamps is listed in which the perforation has shifted and as result, the bottom portion with “Republik Indonesia” has shifted and become part of the lower stamp. The shifting is marked by red arrows. An interesting error.
“12 Months 12 Stamps” – Spain issues a new Souvenir sheet on Leon
Spain introduced a series “12 Months 12 Stamps” from 2nd Jan 2017. It was dedicated to different province each month. A sheet dedicated to Leon was released on 02 April 2018 . However an error was noticed after the release function held in Leon.
In the non denominated domestic rate stamp different items from food to architecture were depicted within letters “L” and “E”. However instead of Leon cathedral a cathedral from Burgos was featured. The Spanish Post has apologized for this mistake but confirmed these stamps will not be withdrawn from circulation and a new souvenir sheet was released on 25 May 2018 .
