Ludwig Van Beethoven -Stamps of Surinam on Beethoven
Ludwig Van Beethoven (Dec 1770-Mar 1827) was a German Composer and Pianist. A Leading and prominent figure in the transition between the Classical and Romantic eras in Classical Music he remains one of the most recognised and influential of all Composers.
His best known compositions include 9 Symphonies, 5 Piano Concertos, 1violin Concerto, 32 Piano Sonatas, 16 String Quaterets, one opera Fidelio and great Mass the Missa solemnis.
Surinam issued a set of stamps on 25 Oct 1970 to commemorate Bicentenary of his birth. A First Day Cover with a miniature is listed.
2nd World Film Festival of Bangkok – Commemorative Cover 2004
The 2nd World Film Festival of Bangkok was held at EGV Metropolis Theatre from 15 to 24 Oct 2004. A Commemorative cover was issued by Thailand on 15 Oct 2004 to commemorate this event. The Four stamps used on the cover were released by Thailand in 1997 to mark 100 Years of Cinema in Thailand.
Thailand issued a pair of Se-Tenant stamps on the 50th Anniversary of Diplomatic relationships between Thailand and Argentina. The theme of the stamps issued on 02 Feb 2005 was Dances of two Countries- Tango Dance of Argentina and Klong Yao Dance of Thailand.
INS Ganga of Indian Navy is the fourth ship to bear this illustrious name and was commissioned into Indian Navy on 30 Dec 1985. A Godavari class ship built by Mazagaon Docks ltd Mumbai was decommissioned on 22 Mar 2018 after 33 years of glorious Service to the Nation.
A Special Cover was released by Maharashtra Postal Circle on 21 Mar 2018 to commemorate the event.
