Hong Kong China issued a miniature sheet containing 12 stamps on Twelve Animals of the Lunar New Year Cycle 21 Feb 1999. All stamps are of HK$ 1.30 denomination. The Animals featured are Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Pig,  Dragon,  Dog, Snake, Cock, Monkey, Ram & Horse.

A set of four stamps was released on Breeds of Dogs on 09 Jan 2005. Maxim cards issued on these breeds of Dogs of India are listed.

Mudhol Hound – It is a desert variety of gaze hound found scattered all over Maharashtra and mostly kept by Tribals. The Raja of Mudhol, a princely state of Karnataka, trained these dogs for hunting. The Raja of Kohlapur also patronised this breed. Quiet, aloof and placid it hunts with concentration.

Rajapalayam -It is an all-white dog built on the lines of Great Dane. The eyes are brown and pink nose is distinctive. Traditionally used as Sheepdog but figures in battle accounts also. The state of Pudukottai had a regiment of Rajapalayam Dogs to fight the enemy. Although a brave hound it is gentle and everyone’s friend.

Himalayan Sheep Dog -Found in Ladakh region of India and Nepal these are excellent guard dogs for cattle. They thick course overcoat and thick smooth fur for undercoat.

Rampur Hound -The most well known Indian Breed. The Rampur Hounds are elegant dogs featured in Mughal miniatures. They come from Rampur of erstwhile Rohilkhand of Uttar Pradesh state of India. These are medium-sized, muscular, powerful built for great speed and endurance. Mostly brindle or mouse grey in color.

The 1994 FIFA World Cup was held in the USA from 17 Jun to 17 Jul 1994. It was held in nine cities across the USA. Brazil beat Italy in Penalty shoot out in the finals held at Rose Bowl, Pasadena, California near Los Angeles.

Bhutan issued a 15 Nu stamp to commemorate the 15th FIFA World Cup. The stamp was issued on 17 Jul 1994 and featured the World Cup Trophy and Striker -The Mascot for this World Cup.

Striker -a Dog, a common US Pet animal wearing red, White & blue soccer uniform with the words “USA 94”  was the mascot for this World cup.
