Germany has issued stamp on Werner Forbmann on 09 Nov 2006. Werner Forssmann (1904-1979) was a German Physician who shared the Nobel Prize for Medicine in 1956 for developing a procedure on cardiac catheterization. He put himself under anaesthesia and inserted a catheter into his vein.
