Werribee Park: Werribee Victoria – One of Australia’s grandest houses, WerribeePark was built between 1874 & 1877 for the wealthy Victorian pastoral family, Chirnsides. It is known for its freestone exterior. An earlier bluestone homestead built in1864 remains behind the mansion. Today it has an Equestrian Centre, Victoria State Rose Garden, Open range zoo etc

The 117th IOC Session was held in Singapore from 6-9 July 2005. Up to 5000 officials, media people came to Singapore to witness five of the world’s most glamorous and vibrant cities – Paris, New York, Moscow, London and Madrid-contend for the privilege to host 2012 Summer Olympics. The destiny and Olympic Programmes of each of 28 Olympic Sports was also on the agenda.

London won the right to host the 2012 Summer Olympics.

The 2012 Summer Olympics or XXX Olympics were held in London from 27 July to 12 Aug 2012. A total of 10,768 athletes from 204 Nations participated in 26 Sports, 39 Disciplines and 302 events. The USA topped the medals tally with 46 Gold Medals

Singapore issued a set of four stamps to commemorate the 117th IOC Session. The Stamps featured the location of five contenders for 2012 Olympics onWorld Map and Olympic sports
