Argentina issued a miniature sheet with four stamps to mark the Espamer 91 Stamp exhibition – Spain & Latin American Philatelic exhibition. The Miniature sheet was issued on 04 May 1991. The theme of the sheet was Racing Drivers. The Car racing drivers featured on stamps are
Juan Manuel Fangio (1911-1995) was an Argentine racing car driver who was also nicknamed “The Master”. He dominated the first-decade formula 1 and won Five World Drivers Championship titles. He is the only Argentine to have won Argentina Grand Prix -he won it four times.
Juan Manuel Bordeau (1934-1990)- A protege of Juan Manuel Fangio, he was an Argentine racing driver. Due to an accident could not take part in Formula 1 Racing.
Carlos Alberto Reutemann (born 1942) – He is a former Formula 1 racing driver from Argentina. He won 12 Formula 1 Grand Prix races between 1972 and 1982 with six Poles. Now a Politician.
Oscar & Juan Galvez- Argentine racing car drivers and brothers on whose names the Buenos Aires Motor racing Circuit is named.
Finlandia88 was an International Philatelic Exhibition held in Helsinki from 01 to 12 JUN 1988. A Stamp Booklet was issued by Finland on this occasion.
The Booklet features a stamp on Agathon Karlovich Faberge (6 Feb 1876-20 Oct 1951) . He was a Russian Finnish renowned Philatelist born in St Petersburg and died in Helsinki. Rarities from his collection are featured on the stamp in the booklet. Buying the booklet also gave entrance to the exhibition (Price 30 Markka at that time).
The name Faberge is well known for skillfully made pieces of Jewellery some of which are featured on the cover of the booklet . Agathon’s grandfather Gustav Faberge opened a Jeweler’s shop in St Petersburg in 1842. The shop became renowned during the time of Carl Faberge, Agathon’s father, when the famous Easter eggs were created for the Czar’s Family (feature on Booklet) The Royal families of Europe and Asia also became clients of Faberge. Agathon was also the Gemmologist at the shop.
Malaysia issued a set of two stamps on 23 Aug 2013 to commemorate the third Tri-Nation Philatelic exhibition of Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore. The Stamps which is 90x30mm long features flags of the three countries.
Amphilex 2002 – Miniature Sheets of The Netherlands
