Thailand issued a set of Four triangular stamps in a  strip of five se-tenants on Building Gables on 04 Aug 2005. These stamps feature Architecture, Cave Temples and Sculptures.

5 Baht – Scripture Library at Wat Phra Sing at Woramahawihan.

5 Baht -Uposatha Hall at Wat Khao Bandai It. (Temple in Caves in Phetchaburi)

5 Baht – Phra Prang at Wat Phra Phai Luang.12th or 13th Century Temple built by Angkor King and dedicated to Vishnu.

5 Baht – Prasat Phanom Rung. It is a Hindu Khmer Temple complex set up on an extinct Volcano at 402 metres in Buriram Province of Thailand. It is a Shiva Temple

First Day Cover Pakistan – Restoration of Murree GPO

Murree is a hill station of Pakistan located in Rawalpindi district at an elevation of  2291m. The Murree GPO was built by British in 1867 and is located at The Mall. Post-1970 it was renovated in the name of modernisation. In 2014 it was decided to restore it to 1910 heritage form. A stamp was issued to mark this on 04 Nov 2015. A FDC is listed.

Exfivia 87 Philatelic Exhibition was held in Potosi in Bolivia. Potosi is one of the highest cities in the World at 4,090 metres. But it most famous for its Silver ore Mine hill called Hill Gold Mine. Spain established a Colonial Mint here and it took Silver to Spain via the Ilama and Mule trains and Spanish treasure fleets.

Bolivia issued a stamp on Exfivia featuring the Hill Gold Mine on 05 Aug 1987.

Miniature Sheet Huangshan Mountain – China 1997

China hosted the 22nd UPU Congress in Beijing in 1999. It issued a Miniature sheet containing eight stamps on Huangshan mountain on 20 Oct 1997. Each stamp was of  200 Chinese renminbi.

Huangshan is a mountain range in southern Anhui province in eastern China. It is UNESCO  World Heritage site and one of China’s main tourist destinations. It was namedHuangshan Mountain (Yellow Mountain) in 747 AD by Imperial order of Tang Dynasty.

Malaysia issued a miniature sheet with four stamps on UNESCO World Heritage Sites on 09 Apr 2009.

50 sen – Historic City of Straits of Malacca (World Heritage Site 2008)

50 sen – Taman Kinabalu, Sabah (World Heritage Site 2000)-First national Parks of Malaysia built in 1964. It is Malaysia’s First UNESCO Heritage sites. It is surrounded by Mount Kinabalu -the highest mountain on the Island of Borneo. This park is home to 4,500 species of Flora and Fauna including 326 Bird species.

50 sen – George Town,  Penang (World Heritage Site 2008)

50 sen – Taman Negara Mulu, Sarawak – Mulu National Park has one of the largest known Caves in the World.

FDC Japan 1968- Centenary of Hokkaido

Japan issued a stamp on 14 Jun 1968 to celebrate the centenary of Hokkaido. It is the northernmost of Japan’s main islands known for its Volcanoes, natural hot springs, and ski areas. Today is the eight most populous Japanese prefecture.

The stamp shows The Centenary Memorial Tower and the Badge of Hokkaido.
