India Post issued a stamp of Rupees Five denomination on 25 Jan 2019. It featured a religious personality Mahamati Prannath (1618-1694) who belonged to Pranami Sampraday. He wrote Kuljam Swarup or Tartam Sagar. A FDC with stamp is listed.
Brazil issued a set of two stamps on Composers and Writers on 19 Oct 1993.
Marcus Vinicius da Cruz e Mello Moraes ( 19 Oct 1913- 09 Jul 1980). He was nicknamed O Poetinha and was a Brazilian Poet, Lyricist, essayist & Playwright. He also composed bossa nova music. A stamp was issued to mark his 80th Birth Anniversary. The stamp also showed a Girl from Ipanema in the background.
Alfredo da Rosa Viana Jr. ( 23 Apr 1897 – 17 Feb 1973) better known as Pixinguinha was a composer, arranger, flautist and Saxophonist born in Rio . He is considered as one of the greatest Brazilian Composers of popular music known as Choro. His well-known Choro works are “Carinhoso”, “Gloria”, “Lamento” and “Um a Zero”. The stamp features Pixinguinha playing the Saxophone. The stamp was issued on his 20th Death Anniversary.
Sweden issued a set of stamps on composers on 07 Sep 2006. The Composers featured are
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart ( 1756-1791).His music was barely known outside German-speaking nations during his lifetime. He lived and worked in Stockholm during King Gustav III reign. No face value but sold for 5.50kr
J M Kraus ( 1756 – 1792). Promoted Mozart’s music. A grand Parliament March presented by Kraus to King Gustav III was similar to a march from Mozart’s opera Idomeneo. No face value but sold for 5.00 Kr
C M Bellman ( 1740- 1795). He used to often receive assistance from Kraus for transferring his songs onto manuscript paper.No face value but sold for 4.80 Kr
