Gerard Sekoto (1913-1993) was a South African artist and musician. He is recognised as Pioneer of Urban Black Art and social realism. South Africa issued two stamps on his paintings on 01 Jun 1996.

Victor Hugo was a French author, Poet and Dramatist . He was a fierce opponent of Napoleon III and was banished from France, Belgium and Jersey before he found refuge in Guernsey from  1855 to 1870. He authored works during his exile. A Souvenir sheet is listed.

Sri Lanka Post issued a  stamp during Lanka Philex 2008 stamp Exhibition on 05 Dec 2008. The Five rupees stamp featured scenes from a Children’s story -Two Men and the Bear. A Block from a sheet is listed. The sheet contained 20 stamps -the size of the stamp is 72x30mm.

Germany issued a stamp on  Hedwig Courths-Mahler(1867-1950) – She was German Writer of formula fiction romantic novels. Her novels were popular and made into several films.

Thailand issued a Miniature sheet with one 5 baht stamp on 23 Apr 2013. The theme was Bangkok World Book Capital 2013, It was an unusual stamp as it has a small book attached to the stamp. The Book is Kaew Jom Kan youth literature composed by HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn based on her childhood experiences. Kaew is a girl who is the leading character in the book. The book even has Thai desserts recipe in the chapter Mae Khrua Hua Pa.
