Germany issued a stamp of 45 euro cent denomination on 14 Jun 2007 to mark the 125 Birth Anniversary of Karl Valentin.
Karl Valentin (1882-1948) was a Bavarian comedian, clown, author and film producer. He had a significant influence on German Weimar Culture. Valentin starred in many silent films in the 1920s and was sometimes called “Charlie Chaplin of Germany”.
Stamps on Indian Fashion through the Ages Series II- Sari in Myriad Forms -2019
India issued a miniature sheet with four stamps on the theme Indian Fashion through the Ages- Series II – Sari in Myriad Forms. It was issued on 12 Jun 2019.
Rupees 12 – Traditional Parsi Attire. The Parsi woman is wearing a traditional Gara embroidery Sari. Parsi man is wearing a long caftan and turban around the head.
Rupees Five – PatharePrabhu.This form came from Patan Gujarat to Bombay. It was also inspired by English fashion trends of those times. The women tailored their blouses with the English Puffed sleeves and wore them under the Kasbis -a nine-yard satin sari with border in gold and silver. These were path-breaking fashion designs.
Rupees Five – Brahmika Sari. A Woman from Tagore household staying in Bombay modified the Parsi style of Sari worn in Gujarat to adapt to the social circles of Bombay. The Pallu was draped over the left shoulder instead of the right shoulder. The ladies from Brahmo Samaj started calling it Brahmika Sari.
Rupees 15 – Silver Screen. The Saris or dresses won by actresses of Indian Cinema or SilverScreen was a fashion statement. The 1930’s attire of Leading actress Devika Rani is featured on this stamp.
Germany has issued a stamp on Captain of Kopenick or Hauptmann von Kopenick affair. Der Hauptmann von Kopenick ( The Captain of Kopenick) is the title of several Films, Plays and Television shows on Kopenick affair. This was based on Wilhelm Voigt an imposter whose fraudulent life was depicted.
Paul Klinger (14 Jun 1907- 14Nov 1971) was a Popular German stage and film actor who also worked in radio drama. Germany issued a stamp on 14 Jun 2007 to celebrate his birth centenary. The stamp is based on the poster of 1956 film Hengst Maestoso Austria and portrays Paul Klinger and Nadia Gray. The stamp had a print run of ten million.
Stamps on Ian Fleming’s James Bond Movies – Great Britain 2008
Great Britain issued Stamps on Ian Fleming’s(1908-1964) Birth Centenary on 06 Jan 2008. Fleming wrote the James Bond series of Spy novels which were also made into James Bond movies. The stamps featured scenes/posters from James Bond movies.

Grenada issued a souvenir sheet to commemorate 21st Birthday of Princess Diana on 01 Jul 1982. It also traces Lines of Descent of Diana which includes Humphrey Bogart. The Casablanca star Humphrey Bogart was Diana’s seventh Cousin. The First Day cover also features Kensington Palace.
