1978 marked the Centenary of both the Cyclists Touring Club & and the British Cycling Federation. In 1878 the cyclists chose front wheels according to the length of their legs. By 1884 the low-built safety bicycle was attracting Women to cycling as a pastime. The 1920’s bicycles were mass produced and built for the comfort-gear case and rubber pneumatic tyres were common now. The design remained virtually unchanged or 75 years until First Moulton appeared in 1962.

A set of Four stamps on Motor sports in Isle of Man was issued on 10 Feb 1988. The first motor sport trials were held in 1904 in Isle of Man.1988 marks the 25th anniversary of Manx International Rally.

He won the 1985 and 1987 British Formula I Grand Prix with the Williams Honda team and nine Grand Prix wins and Constructors Championships for Williams Honda in 1986 was highlight of Mansell’s career.
The105th Tour de France,the most popular of three Cycling tours has ended with Team Sky’s Geraint Thomas winning the 2018 race.The race started in first weekend of July and consisted of 21 stages through three weeks and featured 176 riders across 22 teams.
The tour started in the west coast of France in the Vendee Department for only the fifth time in its history .It had its traditional finish at Champs -Elysees in Paris.The 2018 race at 2,069 miles long was shortest in this century.
Luxembourg issued a stamp on 08 May 1989 on Tour de France.
