Slovenia has been issuing stamps on Traditional costumes every year on different regions. There are three types of national Costumes worn in Slovenia Alpine, Pannonian and Mediterranean.
We are listing a few of them.
28 Jan 2011 – National Costume from the Notranjska region.It is the Alpine type of Costume. The female folk costume consists of a short blouse, Skirt with corset, apron and headwear. The male folk costume consists of a shirt, waistcoat and tightly tailored knee-length pants.
27 Jan 2012 -National Costume from Bohinj region. It is the Alpine type of Costume. Bohinj is located in the Julian Alps in Upper Carniola region of northwestern Slovenia
25 Jan 2013 -National Costume from Ljubljana region. It is the Capital and the largest City of Slovenia, It lies on the trade route between the Adriatic Sea and the Danube region. Lies along Ljubljana river. It is the Alpine type of Costume.

30 Jan 2009 – National Costume from Bela Krajina. This region lies in the far south-east of Slovenia, along the river Kolpa and bordering Croatia. It is famous for white birches and white national costumes. It is Pannonian type costumes.
29 Jan 2010 – Costumes of Prekmurje region. It is the northernmost corner of Slovenia lies along river Mura. The Costumes of this region are Pannonian type -white linen fabric.
