Stamps on Indian Fashion through the Ages Series II- Sari in Myriad Forms -2019
India issued a miniature sheet with four stamps on the theme Indian Fashion through the Ages- Series II – Sari in Myriad Forms. It was issued on 12 Jun 2019.
Rupees 12 – Traditional Parsi Attire. The Parsi woman is wearing a traditional Gara embroidery Sari. Parsi man is wearing a long caftan and turban around the head.
Rupees Five – PatharePrabhu.This form came from Patan Gujarat to Bombay. It was also inspired by English fashion trends of those times. The women tailored their blouses with the English Puffed sleeves and wore them under the Kasbis -a nine-yard satin sari with border in gold and silver. These were path-breaking fashion designs.
Rupees Five – Brahmika Sari. A Woman from Tagore household staying in Bombay modified the Parsi style of Sari worn in Gujarat to adapt to the social circles of Bombay. The Pallu was draped over the left shoulder instead of the right shoulder. The ladies from Brahmo Samaj started calling it Brahmika Sari.
Rupees 15 – Silver Screen. The Saris or dresses won by actresses of Indian Cinema or SilverScreen was a fashion statement. The 1930’s attire of Leading actress Devika Rani is featured on this stamp.
Stamps on Ian Fleming’s James Bond Movies – Great Britain 2008
Great Britain issued Stamps on Ian Fleming’s(1908-1964) Birth Centenary on 06 Jan 2008. Fleming wrote the James Bond series of Spy novels which were also made into James Bond movies. The stamps featured scenes/posters from James Bond movies.

Manila International Film Festival 1982- Stamps of Philippines.
The Philippines issued a set of three stamps on 18 Jan 1982 to mark the 1982 International film festival. This was the First International Film Festival in the Philippines. Indian Film “36 Chowringhee Lane” was adjudged the Best Film. The designs on stamps were

The Tamil Film Veerpandiya Kattabomman was released on 16 May 1959. It was based on life of one of the earliest freedom fighters. Dr Sivaji Ganesan was the lead actor in the film .This film became the first Tamil Film to win an international award .It was awarded the Best Film ,Sivaji Ganesan Best actor & G Ramanathan Best Music Director at the Afro-Asian Film festival in Cairo in 1960.
A Special cover was released on 16 May 2009 at Chennai to mark Golden Jubilee of its release.
