Stralsund is a Hanseatic town on Germany’s Baltic coast and in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Stralsund’s old town is a World Heritage site.

St Nicholas’ Church in Stralsund is the oldest of the three major parish churches in the City. It was dedicated in 1279 to St Nicholas of Myra, the Patron Saint of Sailors. Since 1524  it is an Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Alexanderplatz is located in Central Mitte District of Berlin. It is a large public square and transport hub. It has many malls, stores, S-Bahn connections and has a TV Tower.It is named after Russian Czar Alexander I

Germany has issued a stamp on Captain of Kopenick or Hauptmann von Kopenick affair. Der Hauptmann von Kopenick ( The Captain of Kopenick) is the title of several Films, Plays and Television shows on Kopenick affair. This was based on Wilhelm Voigt an imposter whose fraudulent life was depicted.

The 2010 Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Divison Five was held in Nepal in Feb 2010. Six teams Nepal, Bahrain, Fiji, Jersey, Singapore and USA took part in the tournament.

Nepal won the tournament beating the USA in the final by Five wickets at Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur. Rahul Viswakarma of Nepal was declared Player of the match. The matches of the World Cricket League held at Tribhuvan University Grounds were telecast live for the first time by Nepal TV’s NTV2 Channel.

Nepal issued a commemorative cover on this tournament on 21 Feb 2010. The Cover design features a Batsman and cancellation feature a Cricket bat, ball, helmet, stumps and pads.

Catherine Langeais (1923 -1998).She was a French TV presenter and actress. She was married to Pierre Sabbagh. She was honoured with Legion of honour.

Denise Glaser (1920-1983). She was a Television presenter.

Jacqueline Joubert (1921-2005). TV announce,Producer & Director.

Pierre Desgraupes (1918-1993). He was a French Journalist, actor and Director of TV Channel.

Pakistan Television started broadcasting in 1964 in what was East Pakistan .The name was changed to Bangladesh Television in 1971.The first color broadcast started in 1980 and BTV World started in 2004.

A Set of two stamps were issued on 25 Dec 1989 to mark Silver Jubilee of Bangladesh Television (BTV). A FDC is listed.
