Birth of Gyalsey -The Prince of Bhutan – Stamps of Bhutan 2016.
Thousands of butter lamps were burnt throughout Bhutan to celebrate the Birth of little Prince the Gyalsey at Lingkana Palace on 05 Feb 2016 and good health of His mother Her majesty the Gyaltsuen Jetsun Pema.
A miniature sheet in denomination of Nu 200 was issue on 21 May 2016 to celebrate the birth of Gyalsey. The miniature sheet shows the new born Prince, his mother and Father.
Jigme Namgyel Wangchuk the heir apparent of King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk of Bhutan. His name was announced on 16 April 2016 .Prior to this he was only known as the Gyalsey which means Prince.
