Stamps on Mountains Peaks – Pakistan 2017
The Year 2017 was celebrated as International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development. Pakistan issued a set of Four stamps on Mountains to mark this event. The stamps were issued on 01 Jan 2017 on the following mountain peaks.
Broad Peak – 12th Highest Mountain Peak In the world at 8051m in Karakoram Himalayas.
Gasherbrum-1- Remote peaks in Baltoro glacier region of Karakoram at 8080m
Nangaparbat – Also known as Diamer locally is the ninth highest peak in the World at 8126m and located in Diamer district of Pakistan’s Gilgit Baltistan region.
K2- Also known Mount Godwin – Austen or Chhogori is the second highest mountain peak in the World at 8611m located in Karakoram Range.
