Tallinn Zoo in Estonia was opened on 25 Aug 1939.As per 2012 census it had 13,336 animals representing 548 species. Since 2009 it is one of the most visited Zoos in Baltic states. Tallinn Zoo is located in naturally beautiful Veskimetsa Park Forest.
Snow Leopard is a large cat native to mountain ranges of Central and South Asia.It is listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List of threatened species as its world wide population is less than ( 2016 -4678 to 8745 mature individuals)
A Female Snow Leopard cub was born in Tallinn Zoo on May 10 ,2015. International Snow Leopard Day is Celebrated on Oct 24.
Estonia issued a stamp on 19 Feb 1999 on Tallinn Zoo featuring Snow Leopard .
