Portuguese Television RTP (State TV) began experimental broadcasts on 04 Sep 1956 at the popular fair in Lisbon. The first Color emissions began in 1975.

Adriano de Paiva (1847-1907) was a nobleman, Professor and potuguese Scientist who is considered one of the Pioneers of invention of Television.
