FB Design – Fabio Buzzi was born in Lecco Italy 1943. He founded the FB design company in 1972.Buzzi started competing in off shore racing in 1978 when he won the Italian and European class 3 Championships. He set three speed records in 1979. In 1986 he designed the seatek engine funding this company to produce very high performance diesel engines. With this engine in 1988 he became Italian,European and World champion in Open Class. FB design boats have won 52 World Championships,22 European offshore Championships , 27 Italian Championships, set 40 speed records , 7 Harmsworth Trophies and Buzzi himself has won 10 World Championships. In 2012 he set the New York Bermuda speed record.
