Chindodi Leela (1937-2010) was born in 1937 at Devangere. She was a renowned stage and Kannada film actress and author.She had over 10,000 stage performances and was awarded Padmashree. She belonged to and managed KBR drama Company founded in 1928 by her Father. She even headed the Karnataka Nataka Academy.
