Stamps on Torshavn – Faroe Islands- 1991

Torshavn is the Capital and largest town of Faroe island. Torshavn is in the southern part and on the east coast of Streymoy.In the north west of the city lies the 347 metre high mountain Husareyn and to the south west 350 metre high Kirkjuboreyn.They are separated by river Sanda.

In 1866 Torshavn’s Council was formed.The town has been the Capital of Faroe island since then.

Faroe Islands issued a stamp to commemorate 125 Years of Torshavn. A FDC is listed.
