Jedda is a 1955 Australian film written ,produced and directed by Charles Chauvel,his last film, but is notable for being the first to star two aboriginal actors Robert Tudawali better known as Bobby Wilson & Ngarla Kunoth now Known as Rosalie Kunoth -Monks.It was also the first Australian Film to be shot in Color.
Jedda is a love story about an aboriginal girl on a cattle station in Northern Territory Australia raised with European ways . She falls in love with an aboriginal man but perishes with him.
