Violin of Marcin Groblicz I – Postcards of Poland

Marcin Groblicz I was considered  by historians of Violin making as a student of Italian Luthier Gasparo da Salo. The Violin of Marcin Groblicz I is distinguished by a head carved in the shape of dragon’s head instead of scroll. About 20 instruments of his authorship have survived of which the 12th Groblicz I Violin museum is located in the collection of  Musical Instruments Museum in Poznan.

A Post card issued by Poland is listed showing the Violin.
