India celebrates 15 Sep as Engineers Day in honour of Bharat Ratna M Visvesvaraya (15 Sep 1861 – 12 Apr 1962). Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya was 19th Diwan of Mysore and an Engineer ,Scholar & Statesman . He was awarded Bharat Ratna in 1955.
