Puddukkotai Ulaganathan Pillai Chinnappa (1916-1951) was a Tamil Actor,Singer and action hero.He was a super star of 1940s and 1950s and one of the first influential actors of South India Cinema.He made his debut in Chandrakanta (1936) and acted in films like Utthama Puthiran (1940),Aryamala(1941),Harishchandra (1944),Krishnabhakti (1948) which made him a superstar.
A Special Cover was issued in his honour on 21 Jul 2003 at Chennai.It also marked the Second Death Anniversary of Dr Sivaji Ganesan.
