Flags of Cook Islands on Stamps -Tenth Anniversary Self Government -1975

Cook Islands celebrated tenth anniversary of Self Government in 1975 . A set of three stamps was released to mark this historic occasion.

The Green Flag of Cook Island was in use from 23 Jul 1973 to 04 Aug 1979. Green represented continuous growth and yellow faith and love .15 stars represented the fifteen Islands that make the Cook Islands.

10c – Sir Albert Henry and Flag

Sir Albert Royle Henry (1907-1981) was first Prime Minister of Cook Islands.

25c – Rarotonga and Flag

Rarotonga is the largest Island in the Cook Island with an area of 67.39 square km.
