Sydney Royal Easter Show – Souvenir Cover of Australia – 1984
Sydney Royal Easter Show or Royal Easter Show or Easter Show is an annual show held in Sydney in Australia . It started in 1823 and has been held every year since 1869 except 1919 and from 1942 to 1946 due to World War II. It is run by Royal Agricultural Society of New South Wales. It was accorded”Royal ” status by Queen Victoria.The show is historically an event where “City meets country” and includes agricultural show, amusement park and Fair.
In 2017 -922,000 people attended the show and in 2018 it was held from 23 Mar to 03 Apr 2018. In 2019 it is scheduled from 12 Apr to 23 April 2019.Traditionally held between Good Friday and Easter winding up on Tuesdays after Easter.It is largest event in Australia and sixth largest in World.

1892 -1997 – Moore Park ( NSW Government gave land in 1891 to Royal agricultural Society to built Moore Park for the show)
1998 till now -Sydney Olympic Park at Homebush Bay.
Moore Park converted to Fox Studios Australia.
A Souvenir Cover was issued by Australia Post on Sydney Royal easter show of 1984 on 13 Apr 1984. The Cover used strip of Australian Vintage car stamps with cancellation of Royal Agricultural Society at Sydney showground . The Cover shows the Australian Six 1919 car model.
