Taiwan (ROC) Temple Architecture Stamps- 1982

Traditional Chinese art expressed in Temple Architecture was the theme for a set of Four stamps issued by Tiwan (ROC) on 01 Sep 1982. The famous  Tsu Shih (Divine Ancestor ) Temple of Sanhsia in Taipei County was first built in 1768 and has been renovated since then.

The details of stamps are

NT $2.00 – It features a skillfully carved Lion.

NT $3.00 – It depicts a pair of Lions which form a bracket set.

NT $5.00 -Depict the delicately carved sub-lintels that decorate a temple passageway.

NT $18.00 – Features gently curved highly decorated tiled roofs.
