India issued a Miniature Sheet and Six stamps on UNESCO World Heritage Sites in India -1 featuring Hill Forts of Rajasthan. The shape of the Miniature sheet depicts the logo of UNESCO.The Forts featured on MS are
Rs 5 – Kumbhalgarh Fort – It is a Mewar Fortress built in 15th Century by Rana Kumbha
Rs 5 – Gagron Fort – It is fort located in Jhalwar district by Raja Bijili Dev in 12th Century.
Rs 5 – Ranthambore Fort- It is located inside the Ranthambore National Park and built in 10th Century by Chauhan rulers.
Rs 12 – Amer Fort – It is located in Jaipur. It was originally built by Meenas and later ruled by Raja Man Singh.
Rs 12 – Jaisalmer Fort -It is located in Jaisalmer and nearly one-fourth of the population still resides inside the Fort. It was built in 1156 AD by Rajput Rawal ruler Jaisal.
Rs 12 – Chittorgarh Fort – It is one of the largest forts in India. The fort has 65 structures and there are two prominent towers namely Vijay Stambha (Tower Victory) and Kirti Stambha (Tower of Fame).
