Marianne of Gandon Stamps – France FDC 1995.
The Marianne of Gandon is a series of French stamps of everyday use, drawn by Pierre Gandon and engraved by Henri Cortot in typography and by Gandon in Intaglio. The first stamps were issued in 1945 and withdrawn in 1955. The illustration represents Marianne, the allegory of the French Republic. A Stamp was issued on 04 Mar 1995 to mark 50th Anniversary of the First Marianne of Gandon. A FDC is listed.
