Licchavi Coin – Sheetlet of Nepal 1979
Licchavi or Lichchhabi was an ancient Kingdom on the Indian Sub-continent which existed from 400 to 750 AD. It was located in Kathmandu Valley in modern day Nepal. The Licchavi clan originated from Vaishali and Muzaffarpur in North Bihar & Mithila region.
Nepal issued a set of two stamps on 16 Dec 1979 on Copper Coins of Liccavi Kingdom. The stamps show obverse and reverse of the Coin .the obverse shows a winged horse with inscription Sri Jishnu Guptasya. A sheetlet with both coins is listed.
