Fourth South Pacific Games – First Day Cover Papua New Guinea 1971.
The Pacific Games (earlier called South Pacific Games) are held every four years for countries around the South Pacific Ocean. The First Games were held in 1963 and the sixteenth edition will be held in Apia Samoa in July 2019. Nine different cities in Six Countries have hosted the Games.
The Fourth South Pacific Games were held in Papeete Tahiti from 25 Aug to 03 Sep 1969. Papua New Guinea issued a set of four stamps to mark the games. The stamps were issued on 09 Jun 1971. A FDC with four stamps is listed.
