Geirangerfjord is a UNESCO World Heritage site in Norway. A fjord or fiord is a long narrow inlet with steep sides or cliffs and created by glaciers. The Geirangerfjord is a fjord in Sunnmore region of Norway. It is surrounded by majestic, snow-covered mountain peaks, wild waterfalls and lush green vegetation. It is one of the most spectacular sites in the World.
Norway issued a stamp on this heritage site on 15 Apr 2005. The stamp features the scenic outpost Ornesvingen at Geirangerfjord.
