The Channel Islands of Jersey is divided into twelve administrative districts or Parishes. All Parishes have a coastline and share a name with ancient Parish churches. Jersey issued a set of 13 Stamps on Parishes of Jersey on 29 Jan 1976. Maxim Cards are listed.
St John– It has a Population of 2911 (2011 Census). The Maltese Cross is the emblem of the Knights of St John at Jerusalem(Knights Hospitallers). The Maltese Cross is set on a green background to recognise the old name for the Parish Church, St John of the Oaks, though the Church was dedicated to St John the Baptist. 13 p Stamp features the St John Parish.

St Lawrence – It has a Population of 5418 (2011 Census). St Lawrence, Bishop of Rome, was martyred along with six deacons and Pope Sixtus II by being roasted alive on a gridiron. The Saint is always depicted by being tied to or holding a gridiron. 15p stamp features the St Lawrence Parish.

Trinity -It has a Population of 3156 (2011 Census). Most curious of the badges . The triangle represents the Holy Trinity – God in the centre is father, Son and Holy Ghost. 1p stamp features the Trinity Parish.
