Sergei Prokofiev (1891-1953) was a Russian Soviet Composer, Pianist and Conductor. He is regarded as one of the major composers of the 20th Century. he is known for his Piano Sonata No 7 and 8, Symphony No 5, Violin Sonata no 1 among other masterpieces.
Kyrgyzstan issued a stamp to commemorate his 125th Birth Anniversary on 08 Sep 2016. The 50 som stamp with the label is listed. The label features The Mariinsky Theatre Saint Petersburg Russia.
