Lighthouses of Germany on Stamps -2004-08.
Germany has issued a set of stamps on Lighthouses from 2004 to 2008.
8 Jul 2004 – 45 Pf – Greifswalder Oie. It is a small island in the Baltic Sea located east of Rugen on the German Coast. It has a 49metre high Lighthouse with one of the strongest beacons in the Baltic. the whole island is a nature reserve.
7 Jul 2005 – 45 Pf- Brunsbuttel Mole 1-It is located in Brunsbutteler city. It is a navigation point for traffic on river Elbe and entrance to North Sea-Baltic Canal. this octagonal cast iron lighthouse was established in 1895.
Jul 2007 – 55 Pf – Hornum Sylt (built 1907). It is 34m high.
3 Jul 2008 – 55 Pf -Amrum (built 1873). It is located in the southern part of German island Amrum in Nebel. It is 42 meters high and was opened in 1875.
