Iceland issued a set of two stamps on Lighthouses of Iceland on 11 Sep 2014. A First Day Cover is listed. The lighthouses featured on stamps are
B50g (125 Kr)-Dyrholaey Lighthouse. It is located on Central South Coast of Iceland.The Lighthouse was established in 1910. It was a skeletal steel tower prefabricated in Sweden. The present tower was built in 1927 and is a square concrete tower painted white with red trim. It is 13 metres high.
50g (240 Kr)- The Akranes Lighthouse- It is located in West part of Iceland and this lighthouse is one of the most picturesque Lighthouses in the World. The town of Akranes is about 45 kms north of Reykjavik.
