World Festival of Youth & Students – GDR 1984.
FDJ or Free German Youth is the official Youth Movement in erstwhile GDR. World Festival of Youth and students was held under the FDJ in GDR in 1984. A set of se-tenant stamps with a vignette of FDJ was issued by GDR on 09 May 1989 (30 years ago).
A First Day Cover with stamps sent from GDR to Poland is listed. The 20+5 Pf stamp features Buildings in Pyongyang and 20 Pf stamp features buildings in inner city Berlin.
