Protect Wildlife – Black Patridge – Stamps of Pakistan 1975
Black Patridge or Blackwood patridge is found in South-east Asia but extinct in Singapore now. It was placed in Vulnerable in IUCN list. It now also known as Black Francolin and is considered as a game bird in the Pheasant family. Now in the least concern list of IUCN. It is also the State Bird of Indian State of Haryana.
Pakistan issued two stamps on Balck Patridge on 30 Sep 1975 under the Protect Wildlife Series. A 2.25 rupees stamp is listed.
