The Netherlands issued a set of stamps on Dutch Naval Heroes in 1943-1944.

15 Cent – Admiral Piet Hein (1577-1629).Best known for his victories in the Eighty Years War between the United Provinces and Spain.

17.5 Cent – Admiral Wilhelm Joseph van Gent (1626-1672). The Second & Third Anglo-Dutch Wars, Raid on Medway.

20 Cent- Vice-Admiral Witte Corneliszoon de With(1599-1658). Battle of  Downs in 1639 defeated Spanish Fleet.
