The Netherlands issued a set of stamps on Dutch Naval Heroes in 1943-1944.
7.5 Cent – Admiral Michiel Adriaanszoon de Ruyter (1607-1676).Best known for his victories in the three Anglo-Dutch Wars and was nicknamed “Grandfather”
10 Cent – Admiral Johan Evertsen (1600-1666). Battle of Slaak with Spanish and fought the First two Anglo-Dutch Wars.
12.5Cent- Admiral Maarten Harpertszoon Tromp (1597-1653). Battle of Downs in 1639 defeated Spanish Fleet. He Commanded the Dutch fleet in the First Anglo-Dutch War.
