The New Zealand Cricket Council was formed on 27 Dec 1894. The first team representing New Zealand played against New South Wales in Christchurch in 1894. The first foreign tour took place in 1898-99 when New Zealand played against Victoria and New South Wales.
New Zealand won its Test match in 1956 beating the West Indies. New Zealand played and won its First one day international against Pakistan at Christchurch in 1973.
New Zealand issued a set of Four stamps on 02 Nov 1994 to commemorate Centenary of New Zealand Cricket.
