Isle of Man issued two stamps on Nigel Mansell who was Formula 1 World Champion in 1992. The two stamps feature his British and French Grand Prix Victories.
Nigel Mansell (born 08 Aug 1953) is a British motor Car Racing driver. He was 1992 Formula 1 World Champion and 1993 CART Indy Car World Series Champion on his debut. This twin Champion record is unique and he is the only person to hold these two titles at same time. He is the second most successful British Formula 1 driver with 31 wins after the current World Champion Lewis Hamilton who has 79 titles till date. He drove in Car ‘Red 5″ which is the theme of the cancellation the cover. He was inducted in International Motorsports Hall of Fame in 2005.
In 1992 he won a record Nine races and managed 14 Pole Positions. He won the British Grand Prix in 1992 to surpass Jackie Stewart ‘s record of 27 wins and become the most successful British Formula1 driver
