Stamps on Trans Europ Express – Germany 2006.

DB Class VT 11.5 were diesel multiple units often called (TEE) built by Deutsche Bundesbahn in 1957 and used for Trans Europ Services (TEE) from 1958. They were renamed Class 601 in 1968 and then shifted to Inter City Services till 1988 when they retired.

Danish State railways also used VT 11.5 and scrapped them in 1998 and some parts are displayed in Danish Railway Museum

  • TEE 31/32- Frankfurt- Amsterdam 1957-1967.
  • TEE 74/75- Dortmund Oostende 1957-1971
  • TEE 77/78- Hamburg- Zurich 1957-1965

Germany issued a stamp on Trans Europ Express on 05 Oct 2006. A First Day Cover is also listed. The cancellation shows a railway track.
