Fruits on Stamps – Samoa 1968.
Samoa I Sisifo issued a set of four stamps on agricultural products and fruits on 15 Feb 1968.
3 sene- Theobroma Cacoa -Cacoa tree or cocoa tree is found in tropical regions of the Americas.Its seeds the cocoa beans are used to make cocoa liquor, cocoa solids, cocoa butter and chocolate. The stamp features cocoa beans, chocolate and a beverage.
5 sene – Artocarpus communis -Commonly known as Jackfruit. The unripe fruit is used as a vegetable and ripe fruit is eaten as fresh fruit and wood is also used in various forms. The Breadfruit featured on the stamp is a species of Jackfruit.

10 Sene – Cocos nucifera – Coconut.
20 sene- musa paradisiaca – Banana

Hey Friend, thanks for this post. I collect stamps with cacao and your post helped me find this one. I am also a botanist and just a minor correction. Breadfruit (Artocarpus altilis) is very similar in exterior appearance to its relative of the same variety, Jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus). They do look similar in pictures but in real life they look different. Jackfruit can also grow to be much larger than breadfruit. Thanks!
