Stamps on Moyland Castle – Germany – 2007.
Germany has issued a stamp of 85c to mark 700th Anniversary of Moyland Castle. This moated castle is located in Bedberg-Hau in the district of Kieve. It derives its name from a Dutch word Mooiland meaning “Beautiful Country”. It is also considered one of the most important neo-Gothic buildings. The building now is primarily a museum exhibiting the largest collection of works of artist Joseph Beuys (1921-1986).
