Our City in Garden – Seeds in Stamps – Stamps of Singapore 2013.
Singapore issued a set of four stamps on theme Our City in a Garden on 13 July 2013. A unique miniature sheet was also issued containing four stamps (two each of Ist Local and 50c stamps).
Stamps with seeds to grow flowers– A Collaboration between National Parks Board and Singapore Post results in the issue of a special bio-degradable stamp which can grow as a flower. The First Local stamp in the miniature sheet comes with a moss-rose seed stickered on its front. One needs to soak the stamp in water for a day and then it can be sowed in the soil for it to bloom like a flower. A unique way to teach children the importance of plants, flowers and biodiversity.
Ist Local stamp -No Value indicator – Garden and White Collared Kingfisher.
50c – City Skyline, Oriental Pied-Hornbill and Crimson Sunbird
The stamps with seeds are marked by arrows and are listed below. The stamps with seeds are valid for postage in Singapore Local
