40c – Seymour Gardens. The Seymour Square – Garden of Memories was established in 1857. It is located on one hectare of land within the Blenheim Town Centre.It is Marlborough’s Premier parks with following features
– 1000 square metres on Victorian Annuals & 370 square metres of native gardens provide a scenic backdrop to many National and International events, which include Garden Marlborough Event, ANZAC Day Parade etc.
Some other memorial and historic squares within the Garden are
- Stone Clock Tower which is 90 years old WWI Memorial.
- In 1953 WW II Memorial fountain was erected.
- Cherry Trees donated to mark the end of the war against Japan
- Princess Diana memorial seat and Magnolia tree.
- The 99-year-old oak tree planted by Prince Edward of Wales in 1920.
